CONFERENCE & AWARDS // Silverwater Resort, Phillip Island


Our brief from Ascent Pharmaceuticals was to coordinate a five day conference for 55 delegates, with one full day and two half days of team building and challenges to support a substantial corporate branding change, and conclude the event with an awards dinner.

Together with our client we decided to take the group to Phillip Island, Victoria; which involved coordinating inbound flights from all major Australian cities and transfers. We stayed with Silverwater Resort, who come highly recommended, and used their conference facilities for majority of the allocated conferencing sessions.

The group enjoyed dinner at Harry’s on the Esplanade in Cowes, followed by a twilight cruise; the group participated in a go karting challenge; we held an offsite conference session at Cliff Top; and we tailored a week long challenge that required the group to be segregated into smaller teams to film, edit and showcase their own video that represented their new corporate branding. The results of the video challenge were both hilarious and impressive.

To conclude the event we hosted a final dinner at the beautiful and nearby Churchill Island. Guests were served pre dinner drinks and canapés in the property’s fruit orchids, that were in full bloom in the height of Summer. Unbeknown to guests, a formal sit-down dinner setting under a canopy of string lights and beautiful old oak trees awaited on the other side of the orchid. Three courses were served around the debut screening of the final video submissions, as well as Ascent’s annual awards which were presented atop an Oscar’s style stage setting.
